Problems of female w’abu: trying to shave your legs in the shower before going to shrine, and coming out with bloody knees. Oops.
Problems of Female W’abu…

LOL!
So what happens on the days you menstruate, or blood is shed? Do you just not tend the statue?
Pretty much. According to my w’ab training in Kemetic Orthodoxy, I don’t tend shrine when menstruating. If I’ve just gotten cut somewhere, usually I can just bandage it up and wait until it’s not bleeding all over the place to continue, which is what I did in this case. Majorly annoying, but not a total roadblock.
I know there’s other Kemetics who prefer to go to shrine when menstruating; personally I can’t imagine it. I take the time I would have spent in shrine to focus on caring for myself a little extra instead! ^_^;
